Yesterday I went to a DFW fashion blogger gathering at The Shops at Park Lane. It was awesome. That Whole Foods is off the hook. I kind of want to live there. Not in the apartments near there, literally in the Whole Foods.
We played in Ulta and Nordstrom Rack and chowed down at Gordon Biersch and FreshBerry. Bailey’s Prime Plus is beautiful and apparently they have live music and dancing on the weekends! Returning there ASAP. The Aveda Institute took us on a tour and I cannot wait to get the pedicure I scheduled!
I wore a tank top from h&m, a flower headband my mom gave me, vintage gloves, and a thrifted skirt over a crinoline. I try to avoid straying completely in to costume territory when wearing vintage by incorporating more modern elements, like this printed tank and chunky necklace I got from an adorable shop in Portland.
If you don’t have a crinoline, you may not know it yet, but you’re living an incomplete life. They’re ridiculously fun to wear and give vintage clothes amazing shape. I like to wear mine when I dance in front of the mirror in my bedroom. And also in public. They are surprisingly voluminous, so make sure you have the closet space. Or do what I do and stuff it in there and hope for the best.
